Meet the Counselor

Hi Jags! Miss Mikayla, your school counselor here to let you know all about the supports offered at Endeavour Elementary School through the counseling program. I also work hand in hand with you, your family, teachers, and administration to make sure you thrive at school and in life.

What Is the Role of a School Counselor?

  • Provide support for academic, social/emotional and career oriented needs

  • Individual student academic planning

  • Classroom guidance lessons

  • Small group counseling activities

  • Short-term counseling support

  • Referral to SBMH Counselor for long-term support

  • Collaboration with families/students/administrators/community for student success

  • Advocate for all students!

Vision

The Counseling Program at Endeavour Elementary inspires students to BE their best and truest selves while also DOING their best both academically and socio-emotionally by working hard, knowing emotional regulation skills, and being self-aware, kind, inclusive, and curious about others.

The counseling department helps create not only a safe space for students but a brave space so students can feel connected to their own personal goals and identity, peers, school staff, and the Endeavour Community.

Mission

Our school's counseling program mission encourages students to "Endeavour to do their best" in the realms of academics, socio-emotional skills, and life skills readiness.

Students will learn through classroom guidance lessons, small group activities,  1:1 solution-focused sessions, and/or our school wide Habit of the Month.

These supports will help create and strengthen students' educational foundations to be individually successful while also positively contributing to others and their community.
