Lunar New Year

Students practicing calligraphy

On Friday, January 20th, 5th grade students in Ms. Angelique Coulouris' class celebrated the Lunar New Year with activities such as calligraphy, paper cutting, chopstick challenge, arrow toss and lantern making. This Lunar New Year party was parent and student driven. Parent volunteers brought in the supplies and students led the activities including enjoying some traditional sweets. "Students and families were so excited to share a piece of their culture with our class" said Ms. Coulouris.
