- 1 large box Kleenex
- 1 container of disinfectant countertop wipes (like Clorox or Kirkland brand)
- 1 ream 5 x 11” computer printing paper
- 1 bottle hand sanitizer

Binder and Backpack Supplies:
(NOTE: Please organize your binder before school starts. Follow directions below.)
- Hardcover 3-ring binder---2” metal rings
- Notebook dividers-- 2 packages of 5 subject dividers
- 1 pencil pouch (Nylon mesh or fabric) --three-hole punched
- 1 backpack (non-rolling type) Binder should fit inside easily
Writing / Art Supplies:
- 36 pencils—No. 2 (Pre-sharpened, no need for names on each one)
- 2 marble composition notebooks, wide-ruled
- 3 wide-ruled spiraled notebooks, 3 hole-punched
- 1 highlighter pen
- 1 red pen for correcting
- 1 hand-held pencil sharpener with shavings container (not battery operated)
- 2 pocket folders that can stand up vertically, used for making privacy “offices” at desks; plastic folders are too floppy, cardstock folders work best
- 1 set colored pencils
- 1 set thick colored markers
- 2 Sharpies (black, fine-tipped)
- 1 pink Pearl eraser (or equivalent)
- 2 jumbo solid glue sticks
- 3-4 pads of 3x3” Post-It notes (any color)
- Personal use earbuds (headphones are too large to store in cubby boxes)
Math Supplies:
- 1 pair of scissors (Fiskars recommended)
- 8-10 dry erase markers-Any color (fine tipped, dark colors)
- 1 old sock/fabric square to use as an eraser on dry-erase boards
Organizing Your Binder:
Please place these items in this order, front to back, in your 2” binder before coming to school.
- Pencil pouch
- Put two sharpened pencils, 1 pink Pearl eraser, 1 highlighter, pencil sharpener, and one red correcting pen.

MERLIN - 5th Grade
*Note: You may reuse any materials from 4th grade that are still in good condition.
Classroom supplies (unlabeled)
- 1 box of 12 or more Ticonderoga pencils, pre-sharpened if possible
- Sticky notes 3” x 3” – 2 packs, different colors if possible
- Sticky notes 1.375” x 1.875” or similar – 2 packs
- 3 glue sticks, any size
- 3 highlighters, any color
- 2 or more Sharpie fine point permanent markers
- 2 or more Sharpie ultra-fine point permanent markers
- 2 or more white erasers
- Colored pencils, box of 24
- Crayola crayons, box of 24
- Thick markers, (8-12 colors)
Personal supplies (labeled with student's name)
- Backpack (non- rolling type). Binder should fit easily inside
- 3-ring binder, 2-inch size; preferably zippered and sturdy enough to last all year
- Cloth pencil pouch designed to keep in binder (Plastic pouches tend to fall apart)

7 Subject Dividers – preferably plastic or with reinforced holes to be durable

- 3 composition books, 100 pages, may be wide-ruled or college-ruled
- 3-hole punched notebook paper: approximately 100 pages/ put some pages in binder & leave the rest at home
- 1 set of headphones, labeled with name, in a zipped plastic bag
- 2 red pens for correcting
- Scissors with points
- Clipboard – 8 ½” by 11” size
- Pencil supply box – 8” by 5” size to keep personal school supplies in
- Ruler
- Calculator – Texas Instruments TI-30XS or similar model (will use in middle school as well)
- (If you prefer to use them instead of regular pencils, 6 mechanical pencils and extra lead)
Please bring the following items in on your birthday or half-birthday month
- 1 ream of white paper
- 1 box Kleenex (100 – 120 tissues)
- 1 container of Clorox Disinfecting Wipes.
